Treat Greeting cards by Shutterfly

I love getting mail and it’s even more fun when I get something that isn’t a bill… you know like a card or a letter. Something special from someone who took a few minutes to think of me and find that perfect card. Likewise, I like browsing through all the cards and finding one that I think really fits the occasion and the person that I’m buying it for.

Once in a while though I get behind or forget. Well, I may have found a solution for that! Shutterfly has a new service called Treat.

treat

Treat is Shutterfly’s exciting new greeting card brand that makes it easy for people to create and send one-of-a-kind greeting cards. It’s not an ecard service… they’re real cards!

I was compensated for this post but I really do love greeting cards… all thoughts & opinions are my own.

Doodle Roll Review & Giveaway!

My kids have always loved to color, draw, and do crafts. I have a closet full of all sorts of coloring books, crayons, and the like but the majority of isn’t travel friendly. If they decide that they want to take something with them we have to pack a big bag of stuff and hope that we don’t lose anything along the way.

Doodle Roll

Doodle Roll is the perfect way to take coloring on the road! It has the paper all rolled up neatly and a place to store the crayons. Super easy! But it’s not enough that I like it…. the kids have to like it too. So we put it to the test!

Lauren - Doodle Roll

We rolled out a few pieces and the kids spent the morning one weekend drawing all sorts of pictures & making banners to hang up. Lauren made a banner with her name on it for her bedroom door.

Natalie - Doodle Roll

Natalie drew a few different pictures… the one she’s working on above was her brother’s name for his wall.

Andrew - Doodle Rol

Andrew isn’t much for sitting still and coloring so it surprised me when he sat down with his sisters! I loved that it came with the larger crayons… perfect for little hands!

Lauren - Doodle Roll

The only thing that the kids didn’t really like was the quality of the crayons. They weren’t as smooth as regular crayons but it didn’t stop them from using them.

Doodle Roll is a lot fun! It’s a great activity that you can do with your kids or one that you can take on the road with you. The Doodle Roll is also the perfect stocking stuffer for the upcoming holiday season or party favor for your next birthday party.

You can win it!

One lucky winner will win their own Doodle Roll.

VlogTalk! Simple, Easy, and affordable!

Photobucket

VlogTalk is hosted by Jessica from My Time As Mom, Elena from Mommy is in Time Out!, and Kate from Mommy Monologues.

Welcome back to another installment of Vlogtalk! If you’re watching again that means I didn’t scare you off before! Yay!

So I thought about doing a blooper reel and then I remembered oh yea… I delete those! Why… well so I don’t embarrass my self more than necessary. Good idea, right?

Rockin’ the Bump ~ Professional Style!

I saw this little linky that Shell from Things I Can’t Say was hosting and had to play along!

Why… well first of all I finally have a few awesome pics of me while I was pregnant that don’t make me look totally like a beached whale! That alone is reason enough, right?

So when I was pregnant with Andrew a good friend of mine wanted to use me as a test dummy subject since she is a photographer and wanted to get some more people in to do maternity shoots. I was game, so we scoured the internets for poses that weren’t on the edge of porn and came up with a few ideas that were tasteful (meaning I didn’t strip down naked).

Now, I do have the more typical pics of me at my shower and things like that but I just don’t look as good in those pictures as I do in these and that is why I’m sharing the professional pictures instead of the blah… shower ones.

This is one of my favorites! It looks like I have very little on but in reality I have jeans & a cardigan on.

Maternity Pic

One of the things that I liked about my maternity pictures was that I was still able to wear my non-maternity clothing! I was even able to button up the jeans below my huge belly.

Maternity Pic

I’m not the best model… it was hard for me to do all the poses and looks that she wanted without laughing and honestly I tried really hard! Here is me making my attempt at being a bit more serious looking.

So there ya have it! Me Rockin’ the Bump!

A picture tells a story

Once upon a time… long, long ago there was a young girl and she was full of dreams for the future.

But there was still time to think about the future because at that moment she was living in the here and now. Her life was all about friends, fun, and enjoying her senior year of high school. Oh.. and the hair…. because it was 1991 and yea, the 80’s were over but big hair was still in! And her’s was awesome!

senior collage

It was an awesome hair day!

As you can see in her senior pictures that day was a good day… no, it was an awesome hair day considering it was a hot and humid day in Michigan. Her curls all fell into place perfectly and the bangs…. what can be said that the picture doesn’t explain? Pictures went well and the evening was filled with friends and parties afterwards and of course everyone noticed how great her hair was that day.

All to soon her senior year was coming to an end and the highlight of the year was fast approaching. Prom! Prom was a big deal because everyone went whether they had a date or not. She spent weeks looking for the perfect dress that was different than all the others that her friends would be wearing and she found it. Short and sassy was the best way to describe it.

Senior Prom

I Loved that Dress!

Prom was on a Saturday and she spent the day at the hair salon with her best friend getting ready for their big night. Hair & makeup were done and once their dates showed up they were ready to go. Their prom was held in Bloomfield Hills at a fancy hall and everyone went out to dinner before hand at The Fox and Hound restaurant (which is now closed). It was a great night… one to be remembered for years to come.

Graduation was bitter sweet. It was the end of high school and the beginning of a new page in her life. A life that has taken twist, turns, and different roads than expected.

Senior Party

Yes, I'm in a bathroom stall....

But there was one last party to be part of. The senior lock in after graduation where all seniors spent one night at the school together playing games, eating, and hanging out. It was another memorable moment in her  life. She had a lot of fun with all of her friends and wouldn’t have changed a thing about her years in high school.

Looking back at pictures she realized that she didn’t look all that bad… as a matter of fact… she was a Senior Hottie!
